Our Ministries

St Joseph AME Church awards scholarships and book stipend grants to students who are members in good standing with the Church and have been admitted and enrolled in a 2 or 4 year accredited institution of higher learning or vocational training program. The scholarship is intended to assist the recipient in the completion of an undergraduate education in the field of their choice. 

The Scholarship Committee is charged with the selection of scholarship awardees as well as assisting in the publicity of the St. Joseph AME Scholarship and other local, district and conference scholarships of the AME Church, and encouraging donations to the scholarship fund through regular offerings and/or individual donations. 

Each high school graduate is awarded a one time $1500 scholarship and $350 book stipends for up to 8 semesters. Stipends are administered at the beginning of each Fall and Spring semester and scholarships are awarded during the St Joseph's annual June graduation recognition celebration.
